Meet Sam, Julie & Bukka. When Julie asked if she could dress their dog up in a bow tie and Doggles for their engagement shoot, I believe I squealed. These two are so sweet, so in love and so much fun. When asked if they would be up for getting into the water at the end of the session, Julie’s response was, “Hell, yeah!” I was so excited! We had such a great time in such a beautiful setting, frolicking through grassy meadows and standing in cold mountain water. Thank you both for allowing me to be the one to capture your engagement. xo.
I have known Shayna since she was a little 7th grader. To see her all grown up, working for Chinese Laundry as a designer, and now getting married, is such a treat. I was honored to be the one to take hers’ & Kevin’s engagement photos a couple of weeks ago. As always, I started this engagement session asking about the actual engagement. I love hearing how couples meet, fall in love and get engaged! It helps to break the ice when they are already feeling awkward about canoodling in the streets of Fort Collins, and the bonus is that I just love hearing the stories.
Kevin had arranged for he & Shayna to go to a swanky restaurant. She was reluctant to go because she was in sweats & was on a juice cleanse. She was tired, cranky & not excited to go. He coerced her into going, saying they were waiting on his friend to meet them. The friend never showed, and suddenly they are being escorted into a private area. Shayna quickly realized Kevin had set this whole night up to surprise her. And now, they are planning a beautiful wedding for next August. Congratulations, Shayna & Kevin, and thank you for allowing me to capture your engagement!
